At the Museum

Dining Area
Snacks and drinks can be purchased from the vending machines located in our 1,000 sq/ft Food Court. Groups may reserve time in the Food Court for lunch.

There is a coatroom available for customers’ use on the main level. Please note that the museum is NOT responsible for items left in the coatroom.

Bathroom Facilities
Restrooms are located in the center of the museum on all three levels. Handicap accessible restrooms are located on the lower level. Baby changing stations are located in the restrooms on the upper and lower levels.

Wheelchair and Stroller access
All levels of The Discovery Museum are fully accessible to wheelchairs and strollers via the elevator located in the south gallery.

Photography at the Museum
Visitors are welcome to take photographs throughout the museum for personal use. For all other photography and videography please
contact us for policies and permissions.

Keeping it Cool Rules

The Discovery Museum is a hands-on science museum dedicated to inspiring our visitors to interact, ask questions and learn from our exhibits and staff. You will get the most out of your visit if you challenge yourself to think about how and why something is happening.

We are very pleased that you have chosen to spend time at the museum and that you are willing to ensure that your visit is safe and special by following our “Keeping it Cool Rules”.

  • Children should stay with their parent/chaperone at all times
  • Always walk, don't run.
  • Use an inside voice
  • Gum is not allowed in The Discovery Museum
  • Food, candy and drinks are only allowed in the Dining Court located on the Main Level or the Picnic Area located outside.
  • If using the Dining Court or Picnic Area, be sure to clean up after yourself.
  • Please keep your group together, including during bathroom breaks and visits to the museum store.
  • Please be respectful of the exhibits - Use exhibits gently, stay outside of railings, do not climb or sit on exhibits
  • Please be respectful of all our other visitors.
