Tom Savard is a Connecticut artist. He studied Graphic Art and Photography specializing in alternative photographic processes and hand-coloring while receiving his MBA from the University of Connecticut.  Tom has worked with a wide variety of art forms and has most recently created and put his signature on a new style of photography he aptly calls PHOTO-IMPRESSIONISM.

Within this Show at the Discovery Museum Tom’s unique style shows through.  Tom has utilized cityscapes, buildings and water as a backdrop providing the viewer a perspective that is not often seen.  Photography for many is wrapped up in sharpness and pixels.  This certainly has its place, but Tom is not at all concerned with this aspect.  Tom is much more in tune with FORM and VALUE, often increasing the grain within the image to meet his desired results.
